Now that we have begun to storyboard the music video. We decided that the central USP/message for our product will be about domestic violence and we will implement common stereotypes in our video to position the audience into initially assuming that the female actor is being domestically abused but as we come to the end of the video,it is revealed that the male actor is actually in fact the victim in the narrative.
The underlying message is to bring further awareness that men can be victims of abuse too.I think this is achieved by the ambiguity around the music video as we want to include shots that are suggestive of the male character being innocent but without making it completely obvious from the very beginning. By having a narrative based around this USP I think is aids in being more relatable to our intended target audience as it is something that occurs within their age group rather being very distant to their interests.
